Tea Royal

Sparkling tea by Styrian winemakers — from tea, herbs, fruit and spices.

The House

La Maison Tea Royal

Tea Royal brings the craft of Styrian winemakers into an alcohol-free bottle.

Tea Royal is made in Ehrenhausen an der Weinstrasse in South Styria. In spring 2024, three winemaker friends launched the project — a joint work of the Schauer and Firmenich wineries, produced by the Beverage Brothers.

Instead of grapes, they blend teas, herbs, fruit and spices into an alcohol-free, finely beaded sparkling — with a winemaker’s eye for balance and structure.

History

Winemakers rethink tea

Three winemaker friends in South Styria asked how an alcohol-free drink should taste to meet their standard for wine. Their answer: not a de-alcoholised wine, but a purpose-composed sparkling tea of tea, herbs, fruit and spices — spring 2024.

The Founders

Three Styrian winemakers

Behind Tea Royal stand the Schauer and Firmenich wineries of Ehrenhausen. Their winemaking craft — a feel for balance, acidity and structure — flows into every bottle.

What we know of wine, we put into the tea.

The Teas

Blanc & Rosé

Blanc No.9 — Herbal Garden is a herb-led, clear cuvée. Rosé No.7 — Blooming Rose is built on Ceylon tea with a fine floral note. Both are dry, finely beaded and at home at the table.

The Craft

How Tea Royal is made

Winemaking craft applied to tea — in three steps.

01

Select ingredients

Teas, herbs, fruit and spices are carefully chosen.

02

Blend like wine

Composed into a balanced cuvée with a winemaker’s instinct.

03

Sparkle & bottle

Finely carbonated and filled into the bottle.

At the Table

How to serve it

Well chilled in a wine glass. Blanc No.9 is the herb-fresh aperitif, Rosé No.7 partners starters and lighter mains. An alcohol-free alternative to a glass of sparkling wine.

Conscience

A winemaker’s standard

Tea Royal is not a de-alcoholised wine but a purpose-composed sparkling tea — made to the quality standard of two Styrian wineries.
