Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company
Complex cuvées of up to eleven teas — an invention from the world of fine dining.
The House
Sparkling tea from Copenhagen
The Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company created a category of its own: sparkling tea at wine quality.
The idea was born in Danish fine dining. In 2017, sommelier Jacob Kocemba and Bo Sten Hansen launched the first bottle in Copenhagen. Today the brand reaches more than 50 countries and the tables of over 100 Michelin restaurants.
Each cuvée is a composition of up to eleven teas — white, green, oolong, black — balanced like the blend of a great wine.
History
A new category
As a sommelier, Jacob Kocemba searched for an alcohol-free pairing that could stand beside a wine. Years of trials produced sparkling tea — a dry, layered drink worthy of a place next to the champagne glass. In 2017 the idea became its own manufactory.
The Founders
Jacob Kocemba & Bo Sten Hansen
Sommelier knowledge meets entrepreneurial craft: Kocemba brings the palate, Hansen the manufactory. Together they turned sparkling tea from a restaurant idea into an international brand.
An alcohol-free glass should leave nothing wanting.
The Teas
Up to eleven teas in a bottle
The cuvées carry colour names: Blå (blue), Lysegrøn (light green) and Lyserød (pink). Each is a blend of white, green, oolong and black teas with fine botanicals — complex, dry and finely beaded.
The Craft
How the cuvée is made
As with wine, everything lies in the blend — and the balance.
Select the teas
Up to eleven varieties chosen for aroma and structure.
Blend
The teas are composed into a balanced, dry cuvée.
Sparkle & bottle
Gently carbonated, filled in the wine-format bottle.
At the Table
How to serve it
Well chilled in a wine glass. Blå is the classic aperitif, Lysegrøn suits fish and vegetables, Lyserød lighter meats and dessert. A full alcohol-free pairing through a menu.
Conscience
Dry, not sweet
Sparkling tea relies on complexity rather than sugar — the depth comes from the tea and botanicals, not from sweetness.
